8.1 General
Cellosophy offers several types of products with different refund and cancellation terms. The terms that apply to your purchase depend on the product you purchased, as described below. Refund eligibility is determined in good faith by Cellosophy and, where applicable, requires documented participation as specified in the relevant subsection.
All refund requests must be submitted to support@cellosophy.com within the applicable refund window. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear in your account.
8.2 One-Time Purchase Courses
8.2.1 · 30-Day Practice Challenge ($99)
You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase for any reason, provided you have not completed more than 50% of the course content. To request a refund, email support@cellosophy.com from the email address associated with your purchase.
8.2.2 · Practical Popper Prep ($499)
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason, provided you have not completed more than 25% of the course content. To request a refund, email support@cellosophy.com from the email address associated with your purchase.
8.2.3 · Proper Popper Practice Project (PPPP, $4,299)
Refund eligibility requires demonstrated participation. You may request a refund of the full purchase price if, within the first seven (7) weeks, you have met both of the following conditions:
If both conditions are met and you determine that PPPP is not the right fit, you may request a full refund within the seven-week participation window. Refund requests submitted after the seven-week window, or without meeting both participation conditions, will not be granted.
This policy is designed to refund students who have genuinely engaged with the program and determined it is not the right fit, rather than students who have not participated.
8.2.4 · Payment Plans (PPPP and Other Courses)
If you purchase a course on a payment plan, the refund policy above applies to the full purchase price, not individual installments. If you discontinue payments without requesting a refund within the applicable window, your access to the course will be suspended and the remaining balance will be due. Discontinued payment plans are not considered cancellations and do not constitute a refund request.
8.3 Subscriptions (Cellosophy Method)
8.3.1 · Free Trial
New Cellosophy subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. You may cancel at any time during the trial through your account dashboard, and you will not be charged. We will send a reminder email three (3) days before the trial ends.
8.3.2 · Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Upon cancellation, your access will continue through the end of your current billing period. After that period ends, your access to subscription content will end.
8.3.3 · No Refunds on Subscription Charges
We do not offer refunds or credits for:
Because subscriptions include access to downloadable materials (including sheet music, PDFs, practice guides, and instructional videos), all charges are non-refundable once a billing period has begun.
8.3.4 · Annual Subscriptions
Yearly Cellosophy subscriptions include the same 14-day free trial as monthly. After the trial converts to a paid annual subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the first annual charge. After day 14 of the paid year, the annual term is non-refundable; you may cancel at any time and access continues through the end of the paid year.
8.3.5 · Pausing vs. Cancellation
If you need a temporary break, contact support@cellosophy.com to discuss pausing your subscription. Pausing is handled case-by-case and is not guaranteed.
8.4 Free Products
The 7-Day Practice Primer, the Practice Scorecard, and other free resources are provided at no cost and are not eligible for refunds.
8.5 Sheet Music and Downloadable Products
Sheet music purchases (including the Aaron-Moore Popper Edition, Franchomme 12 Etudes, and individual Cellosophy method volumes) are considered digital downloads and are non-refundable once the file has been accessed or downloaded. If you purchased a product in error and have not yet downloaded it, contact support@cellosophy.com within 24 hours for a refund.
Physical printed editions, where available, may be returned unopened within 14 days of delivery at the buyer's expense. Return instructions will be provided upon request.
8.6 Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company without first contacting Cellosophy to resolve the issue, your account and access to all Cellosophy products and services may be suspended or terminated. We strongly encourage you to contact support@cellosophy.com before initiating a chargeback so we can address your concern directly.
Chargebacks initiated after the applicable refund window has passed, or for products where refunds are not available under this policy, will be disputed.
8.7 Teacher Referrals and Commissions
If your purchase was made through a certified Cellosophy teacher's referral link, and you request a refund, the teacher's referral commission (if any) will be reversed. Teachers are notified when a student's refund is processed. This does not affect your eligibility for a refund under the terms above.
8.8 Modifications to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this refund and cancellation policy at any time. Modifications will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the modification date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase is the one that governs your refund eligibility.
8.9 Contact
All refund requests, cancellation questions, and policy clarifications should be sent to support@cellosophy.com.
